biographical sketch
Pastor Jimmy C. Baldwin Sr., M.Div., is a native of Baltimore, Maryland who accepted and announced his call to preach the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ as a teenager. He was reared in the Pentecostal Church that provided him with a firm foundation in the faith. He graduated from Forest Park High School with honors in 1979. He matriculated and graduated with honors from Bishop College in Dallas, Texas in May 1983 earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion. Rev. Baldwin also has successfully completed studies for and earned a Master of Divinity degree in 2005 from Howard University School of Divinity. In pursuit of the postgraduate level of study and training Rev. Baldwin has successfully completed several courses at Beeson Divinity School in Birmingham, Alabama to earn the Doctor of Ministry degree.
Rev. Baldwin was elected to serve and installed as the pastor of Shiloh Christian Community Church in 1985. Since then several ministry concepts have been implemented to grow the membership of the church and to minister to the surrounding community. Rev. Baldwin's gift to preach the WORD of the LORD with simplicity, power and grace has provided him with the opportunity to preach both locally and nationally. In 2007 Rev. Baldwin was the morning preacher for the historic Hampton University Minister's Conference.
Rev. Baldwin has served as a leader and board member of many organizations and councils. He is married to Charlene and is the father of Jimmy, Jr. and Lauren.
